With the win Atlanta has also gained it’s second consecutive win to begin the MLS Regular Season and has sustained the club unbeaten across all competitions in 2020 with a 3-0-1 record.
“Yes, of course. You cannot replace Josef so other players need to step in. Winning two times in a row, Emerson Hyndman and Ezequiel Barco, you know did a good job to replace those goals so that’s very positive.” said Atlanta United Head Coach Frank de Boer.
Atlanta (2-0-0, 6 points) returns to action Wednesday, March 11 to face Club América in the Concacaf Champions League Quarterfinals at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City before heading home for the MLS regular season play Saturday, March 14 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Sporting Kansas City.
