Atlanta returned to home ice on Marvel Super Hero night at Infinite Energy Arena on Friday to face the rival Orlando again, after securing a playoff seat with a big 6-3 win against the Solar Bears on Tuesday.

It was in the middle frame that the Glads gained momentum and overpowered the visiting team, with a goal scored by Scott Conway assisted by Samuel Asslin and Tommy Marchin.

The endless pursuit continued to wreak havoc on Orlando defense that allowed Logan Nelson to fly into a breakway assisted by Alex Solovyez .

At the second break Atlanta led 3-1 over Orlando.

In the final frame at 14:13 Solar Bears Johno Mays scored a shorthanded goal assisted by Trevor Olson. Despite bringing their first-period energy to the third the Gladiators rallied defensively to seal the 3-2 win.

The victory gives the Glads their 6th straight win and their 9th straight home win, including being unbeaten at Infinite Energy Arena for the month of February. Atlanta is now tied with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits for third in the ECHL South Division.
The Gladiators hit the road Saturday night to face the Jacksonville Icemen at 7:00 PM. Atlanta returns to home ice on Saturday, March 28th to host the Norfolk Admirals on Star Wars Night.
