After being defeated by the the Orlando Solar Bears 7-3 on Wednesday night. The Gladiators returned to home ice in retaliation and conquered the Orlando Solar Bears 5-4 in overtime on the back of F Samuel Asselin’s hat trick and four-point on Friday night.
With :68 seconds into the overtime frame, Asselin scored the the game-winning goal assisted by Zach Malatesta and D Joel Messner. Asselin’s hat trick was his second of the season.
After the game, Camille Paul spoke to Gladiators Derek Nesbitt, Samuel Asselin and Solar Bears Jake Coughler.

The Glads Head on the road Saturday evening to face the South Carolina Stingrays in North Charleston at 6:05 PM.
The Gladiators and Northside Hospital are teaming up for Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend on February 28 and 29. The two-game stretch will be a celebration of survivorship that honors those who have battled cancer.
Northside Hospital will also be the presenting sponsor when the Gladiators return home Monday Jan 20. for a 12:35 PM tilt against the rival Greenville Swamp Rabbits in an MLK Day Matinee. The game will feature a tribute to the great Dr. King and the first 500 kids to enter Infinite Energy Arena will receive a free Martin Luther King, Jr. T-Shirt to create awareness and pay respect to the late Dr. King.
