In the beginning of the 1st quarter the Hawks energy heightened as both teams consistently scored. The results showed in favor of Atlanta at the end of the 1st quarter with the Hawks up by 1 point.
At the Half the Lakers pulled away from the Hawks and gained a 7 point lead.

The win was eventually sealed by the Lakers at the free throw line. LA gained their seventh straight victory, while the hawks pocketed their fourth straight defeat.
