Hawks Unable To Dethrone King Lebron and the Lakers: Atlanta Gain 4th Straight Defeat

Atlanta Hawks face King Lebron and the Lakers in front of stars and a crowd full of yellow and purple jerseys on Sunday evening at State Farm Arena.

It was a closely fought battle, but the Hawks could not take down the Lakers and ultimately lost 96-101.

In the beginning of the 1st quarter the Hawks energy heightened as both teams consistently scored. The results showed in favor of Atlanta at the end of the 1st quarter with theΒ Hawks up by 1 point.

At the Half the Lakers pulled away from the Hawks and gained a 7 point lead.

In the 3rd, it was plays like this that kept the Hawks competing down the stretch


Throughout the game the Hawks struggled to stop Lebron from attacking the basket.

However, the Hawks was able to keep the scoring gap narrowed until the very end.

The win was eventually sealed by the Lakers at the free throw line.Β  LA gained their seventh straight victory, while the hawks pocketed their fourth straight defeat.

Trae Young led the Hawks in scoring 30 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Jabari Parker added 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist. Parker has scored in double-figures 24 of 27 contests this season.Β 

Cam Reddish and Damian Jones chirped in 10 points to round off the scoring efforts.

β€œBut as far as our team, I’m really excited about the way we played.” said Coach Lloyd Pierce. β€œReally excited about the way we competed to hold that team to 42% shooting, force 22 turnovers against that team and have an opportunity – really three or four opportunities – late in the fourth quarter with some really good looks.”
