The third annual Hawks-Naismith Classic weekend happened at Norcross High School this weekend, and showcased Georgia’s high school basketball.
On Friday Dec 13. four games was played.

Hawks-Naismith: Friday recap
Game 1. Buford defeated Norcross 48- 42 (girls):
Buford’s Tate Walters, led the team in scoring 22 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Norcross Devyne Turner and Yamani Paul led the team in scoring with 12 points each.

Game 2. Buford defeated Wesleyan 78-63 (boys):
Buford’s Caleb Williams led the team in scoring 16 points.
Tate Gilley led Wesleyan in scoring 20 points.

Game 3. Lovejoy defeated Wesleyan 60-44 (girls):
Lovejoy’s Bryana Hardy led the team in scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Wesleyan’s Paige Lyons led the team in scoring 15 points.

Game 4. Pebblebrook defeated Chattahoochee 67- 55 (boys):
Pebblebrook’s Jamall Clyce led the team in scoring 25 points.
Chattahoochee’s Cameron Sheffield led the team in scoring 15 points.

On Saturday December. 14th. the true action happened. In a full to capacity gym, eight amazing games was played by a few of Georgia’s rising and future basketball stars.

Hawks-Naismith Holiday Classic Saturday Recap
Game 1: Maynard Jackson and Brookwood jumped off the Saturday Hawks Naismith Holiday Classic with Maynard Jackson defeating Brookwood 48-43.
The top scorer for Maynard Jackson was Xavier Dyer collected 18 points, 25 rebounds and 2 assists. Brookwood highest scorer was Diana Collins who gathered 13 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Game 2: Campbell defeated North Cobb 56-43. Campbell’s top scorer was James Alison with 17 points, and 9 rebounds.
North Cobb highest scorer was Azonya Austin 14 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.
Game 3: Milton defeated West Macon 84-47. Milton’s top scorer was Bruce Thornton with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists.
Westside Macon’s top scorer was Javian Mosley with 25 points, and 9 rebounds.
Game 4: Lambert defeated Central Macon 74-65. Top scorer for Lambert was Luke Champion with 21 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists.
Top scorer for Central Macon was Quay Primas gathered a whooping  32 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
Game 5: Sandy Creek defeated Gainesville 62-51. Top scorer for Sandy Creek was Jabari Smith who gathered 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Top scorer for Gainesville was a Walt Dixon who collected 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
Game 6: SW Dekalb defeated Discovery 56-47. The top scorers of the night was Eugene Brown who put 15 points on the board, with 9 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Discovery top scorer was London Riley who gathered 14 points, and 6 rebounds.
Game 7: Grayson defeated McEachern 83-57. Grayson top scorer was Caleb Murphy who put up an impressive 24 points ,7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
McEachern top scorer was Sharife Cooper with 17 points 2 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Game 8: The Final Game of the night ended in an intense battle for the W with Norcross catching home court advantage and defeating Tucker 63-72. Norcross Quincy Ademokoya led the team in scoring 27 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Tucker Terrance Edwards scored a mind-blowing 36 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists.
