Gladiators Overcome Rival Greenville 7-6

In a exciting thriller, the Atlanta Gladiators defeated their rival Greenville Swamp Rabbits 7-6 on Sunday on Dia de los Muertos Day at Infinite Energy Arena.

In the 1st period Luke Nogard netted the first goal.

:29 seconds later , Eric Neiley scored a goal doubling the Gladiators’ lead to 2-1

Glads Samuel Asselin scored a goal to elevate the score to 3-1.

Jack Stander scored a goal late in the 1st to  give the Glads a 4-1 lead.

At the end of 1st period Atlanta was up by 3.

At, 7:20 left in the 2nd Greenville managed to tie the score.

Glads Samuel Asselin scored two back to back goals in three-minutes to recover Atlanta lead.

In the final period a goal scored by Glads veteran captain Derek Nesbitt closed out the game and Atlanta gained their 4th win of the season.

The team will be on the road to face the Kelly Cup Champions the Newfoundland Growlers on Friday Nov 8, and Saturday Nov 9.

The Glads return home on Saturday, November 16th to face the Florida Everblades on Heroes Night, at 7:05 PM.
