Atlanta Dream looking forward to the Future

The Atlanta Dream look to start the new season with a bang.

On Friday, co-owners Mary Brock and Kelly Loeffler announced the Dream are headed in a new direction for their 13th season. Brock and Loeffler put an exclamation point on the Dream’s upcoming season, unveiling a new logo and and look.

This is the first change to the Dream’s logo since the team was founded in 2008.
But wait, there’s more.
The Dream has a new home. They will play their home games at the Gateway CenterArena in College Park. The Gateway CenterArena is also home of the Atlanta Hawks’ new NBA G League franchise, the College Park Skyhawks.

While the Dream is going in a new direction, one thing stayed the same, Nicki Collen is still the head coach. Collen was named head coach of the Atlanta Dream in 2017. In her first season, she was named WNBA Coach of the Year.
WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert believes in shifting the narrative of sports in Atlanta. “This is a great sports town. We need to make it a great women’s sports town, said Engelbert.

The Atlanta Dream received the No.  4 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft Lottery. Atlanta has not made a selection in the top six since the 2009 WNBA Draft.
Dream fans have a lot to look forward to this season.
