The wait for the NBA preseason is finally over! The Atlanta Hawks fell short to the New Orleans Pelicans last night. However, the Hawks appear ready to go into the season prepared to improve their record from last year.

DeAndre’ Bembry led the Hawks in scoring with 16 points on 6 -of -11. This is his fourth season with the Hawks.
During halftime of the game, the College Park Skyhawks unveiled their mascot. Additionally, two-way players Charlie Brown, Jr. and Brandon Goodwin were presented with their Skyhawks jerseys.
Brown declared for the NBA Draft after playing two years of collegiate basketball at Saint Joseph’s.
After transferring from the University of Central Florida, Goodwin played college basketball for Florida Gulf Coast University.
The Skyhawks are set to begin play for the 2019-2020 season in November. at the new Gateway Center in College Park.

The Skyhawks ownership team includes Grammy Award-winning recording artist, hip-hop superstar and College Park native 2 Chainz.
