(C) Elizabeth Williams, on her night, defensively. “At the end of games, Coach trusts us to get stops and that starts with one-on-one defense… we know our defense is what anchors us. It’s fun blocking shots, I love blocking shots, I love watching Bre [Breland] block shots, we feed off of each other… our defense is what carries us so when we can start the season off proving ourselves in that way, it’s fun.”
(F)Jessica Breland, on blocking shots. “My mind is set on defense and rebounding but I’m focusing more on my offensive game by knocking down shots wherever I can but for the most part it’s the same mentality – let’s have a block party.”
The Dream return to State Farm Arena next weekend to host the reigning WNBA Champions, the Seattle Storm, on Friday, May 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
