Hawks overtake Grizzlies

The Atlanta Hawks claimed home court advantage and left the Memphis Grizzlies in shambles with a 132-111 victory on Wednesday at State Farm Arena.

Trae Young started the first quarter off with a bang by connecting a 2-pointer. Shortly after John Collins connected a free throw, then Kevin Huerter scored two points and followed that up with a jam.

Late in the first, DeAndre Bembry pulled of an amazing 360 dunk.

At the closing ย of the first the Grizzlies trailed the Hawks by 5 points.

At the half, the Hawks continued to lead the Grizzlies by 12 points.

At the end of the dramatic third quarter and up by 20 points the Hawks continued to lead and never looked back.

Late in the fourth quarter Justin Anderson drives, and gets the tough shot to fall, giving the Hawks a 27 point lead.

In the end the Hawks cracked the Grizzlies’ three-game winning streak and captured the dub. Atlanta big win included six players in double-figures.

Collins led the team with 27 points, 12 rebounds, this is Collins 4th straight double-double and the 28th double-double on the season.

Trae Young gathered 22(p) 8(a) 3(r), and Alex Len added 20(p) 8(r) 4(a).

After the game, Collins spoke about his biggest takeaway from his epic night.

The Hawks now(24-45) are on the road and on a mission to capture their 3rd back to back win when they face the Celtics in Boston today at 12:30 PM.
