The Atlanta Hawks faced the Chicago Bulls last night at the State Farm Arena.

The energy of the team and crowd was overflowing from Wednesday’s defeat of the Dallas Mavericks. Although, the team was slow to put points on the board with the Bulls leading, Trae Young started the 1st with a free throw at 9:03, bringing the score to 1-5. Nearing the end of the 1st DeAndre Bembry connected on his field goal attempt to tie the score with Chicago 22-22. With little over a minute left Kevin Huerter connected on a 3 pointer, putting the Hawks in the lead at the end of the 1st.

At the Half, the Hawks still maintained the lead. Omari Spellman started the 2nd quarter with 2 points at 10:39. Followed by Taurean Prince shooting a 2 pointer. Nearing the end of the 2nd quarter Jeremy Lin shot 2 points, and at 1:34 he followed up with a free throw ending the half with the Hawks leading 44-41.

In the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Taurean Prince started with 2 points, followed by Vince Carter connecting on a 3 pointer, bringing the score to 51-47. With seconds remaining on the clock Prince cuts to the paint and received a pass from Lin to secure a dunk.

With 12 minutes remaining on the clock and the hope of grabbing another win lingering throughout the State Farm Arena, Atlanta trailed Chicago 63-67.

In the end, Atlanta was unable to hold off the Bulls 97-85. Taurean Prince scored 16 points, Trae Young scored 13 points, and Dewayne Dedmon scored an impressive 13 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks.
