Atlanta Vibe Re-Sign Core Trio to Open 2026 Free Agency

As free agency tipped off on August 7 at 5 p.m. EST, the Atlanta Vibe wasted no time locking in three of their biggest contributors from last season. The 2026 roster will be headlined by 2025 First Team selection and former league MVP Leah Edmond, reigning Rookie of the Year Khori Louis, and dynamic opposite hitter Aiko Jones.

“We’re thrilled to bring back key pieces of our roster,” said team owner Colleen Craig. “Leah, Khori, and Aiko each played a major role in our success last season, and re-signing them gives us the foundation we need to keep building. Our focus remains the same—winning a championship and setting the standard for professional volleyball in the US.”

Edmond returns for her third season in Atlanta after another dominant campaign in 2025, earning First Team All-League honors and finishing second in the league in both kills (409) and service aces (41). A true six-rotation standout, she averaged 2.74 digs per set—ninth-best in the league—and totaled 496 points, the second-highest mark in the PVF. The 2024 MVP also tallied 18 double-doubles, proving her impact extends well beyond scoring.

Louis, the 2025 Rookie of the Year, is back for her sophomore season after leading the league in hitting efficiency at .359 and posting the second-highest kill percentage at .449. She hit double-digit kills in nine matches and recorded six blocks twice, finishing with 58 blocks overall—eighth-best in the league.

Jones, entering her second season with the Vibe, brought steady production on both sides of the net in 2025. She posted a .362 kill percentage, averaged 0.44 blocks per set, and collected 98 digs over 72 sets. Offensively, she added 89 kills, giving Atlanta another reliable scoring option.

The Atlanta Vibe is one of eight teams competing in Major League Volleyball’s third season in 2026. As Atlanta’s professional women’s indoor volleyball team and the city’s second fully professional women’s sports franchise, the Vibe continues to build its legacy in women’s sports.
