Tiffany Hayes surpass 3000 points as the Dream snaps 5-game losing streak

The Atlanta Dream cracked their 5-game losing streak by defeating the Indiana Fever 88-78 at State Farm Arena on Wednesday afternoon.

Three Dream players scored in double digits. Tiffany Hayes led the team in scoring an impressive 28 points. Hayes reaches a career milestone when she past the 3,000-career-point mark.

Renee Montgomery landed four three pointers, gathering 16 points, 9 assists moving to the 20th in all-time assists.

Elizabeth Williams added 10 points.

After the game, Coach Nicki Collen spoke about said, “We obviously got off to a similar start to some that we’ve gotten off to,” Collen said. “But when I called the timeout down 6-0 and really challenged them, I think we were pretty good from then on out. After a game that we turned the ball over 21 times, to turn around against Indiana and only turn it over six times is a testament to a lot of what we talked about today. Our execution was at a different level, without question.”

The Dream now (2-5) is on the road in search of win number 2 when the team matchup against the Sun in Connecticut on Friday at 7:30.
