Hawks Plagued with Fouls, Ejections, Injuries in 104-111 loss to Spurs

Strong performance from Spurs LaMarcus Aldridge put San Antonio in a 111-104, winning spot extending their 4 game winning streak; over the Hawks on Wednesday at State Farm Arena.

After missing three games due to flu-like symptoms, John Collins made his grand return by putting up 18 points.

In a shocking, yet bizarre turn of events Taurean Prince was ejected from the game without warning.

Heads was left scratching after watching a questionable replay. No one could conceive what Prince said or did to the referee but it was obvious his words got the ref in a tizzy and caused Prince to be tossed out of the game with two technical fouls late in the 3rd quarter.

In the fourth, Vince Carter also picked up a technical foul for verbalizing  his disdain for not receiving a call. Carter turned his fustration into his motivation when he turned around and hit a 3-pointer.

Also in the 4th, Alex Poythress left the game with a sprained right ankle.

Shortly afterwards, DeAndre Bembry connected a 3-pointer closing the gap to 2-points.

In the end the Hawks were unable to hold off the Spurs. Trae Young led the team in scoring 22 points, 4 assists and 6 rebounds .

The Hawks are now (22-44) will matchup against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday at State Farm Arena. Tip-off starts at 7:00.
