Hawks unable to take the Heat in DWade’s final Hurrah against Atlanta

In DWade’s final appearance against the Hawks, Miami defeated Atlanta 114-113 on Monday.

Dwayne Wade had a big night. Wade now has more blocked shots than any guard in NBA history surpassing Michael Jordan (1051 blocked shots).

Hawks elder statesman Vince Carter also had a big night. Carter led the team in scoring 21 points.

Kent Bazemore gathered 18(p) 7(r), and Dewayne Dedmon kept the team in the game with 14(p) 6(r).

Rookie Kevin Huerter had a special moment he will never forget.  As a child he idolized Dwyane Wade and he wears his No. 3 Hawks jersey because of his admiration. Kevin Huerter childhood idol called him over for a jersey swap.

The Hawks now (22-43) will face the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday at State Farm Arena. Tip off begins at 7:30pm
