After a long road trip, the Atlanta Hawks returned home to State Farm Arena on Thursday to face the Toronto Raptors.

What seemed to be a thrilling 1st quarter and thoughts of a win looming in the horizon with the Hawks leading by 12 points, tragically came to a traumatic 119-101 defeat that was hand delivered, signed and sealed by the Raptors.

The first half was dominated by John Collins, Taurean Prince, DeAndre Bembry, Vince Carter, and Alex Len producing impressive 3’s to maintain the lead.

Late in the third quarter, the pace of the Hawks slowed down and Toronto took the lead.

History was made early in the fourth when veteran Vince Carter soared for the jam and became the 25th of all-time in points scored in NBA history.

Even with this accomplishment, the Hawks was unable to hold off the Raptors.
Both Taurean Prince and Trae Young led the team in scoring 19 points.
