Hawks slammed by Raptors gaining their ninth in a row

Vince Carter slammed his way into NBA History

On Wednesday night Atlanta gained their ninth consecutive game loss after being defeated by the Toronto Raptors 124-108 at State Farm Arena.

Although this was yet another painful loss, the Hawks gained a win when Vet Vince Carter became the 22nd player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points.

Nearing the end of the game and with seconds left, 41 year old Carter made a dramatic slam dunk on the buzzer, against his former team Toronto Raptors.

Carter played six years with the Raptors and earned Rookie of the Year in 1999. In Toronto Carter emerged as a star entertaining crowds with his leaping ability and slam dunks, earning him nicknames such as Vinsanity, “Air Canada”, and “Half-Man, Half-Amazing”. He won the NBA’s All-Star Weekend dunk contest in 2000.

Next, the Atlanta Hawks now (3-15) will face the Boston Celtics on Friday, November 23,2018 at State Farm Arena.
