Atlanta Dream v. Indiana Fever/Washington Mystics

What a weekend for the Atlanta Dream! Currently at #6 in the WNBA with a record of 12-9, the Dream is on a FOUR GAME WINNING STREAK! This past Friday, Atlanta faced off with the Indiana Fever, who they’ve played four times now this season. That game ended in a 98-74 win for the Dream at home. For the Fever, Erica Wheeler and Tiffany Mitchell combined for 32 points,7 rebounds and 6 assists. Atlanta had 7 players come out with double figures and the entire bench got minutes to shine and have fun! Tiffany Hayes had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists to lead scoring. Brittany Sykes and Elizabeth Williams both had 14 points, combined for 13 rebounds and 8 assists. Angel Mccoughtry, Jessica Breland, Damiris Dantas and Alex Bentley all had 10 points, combining with 12 assists and 12 rebounds. What an amazing team victory and effort, but it didn’t stop there.

On Sunday, the Washington Mystics came on by for a visit and guess what? With an 80-77 outcome, Atlanta came out on top with the W! Guess what else? This time, we had 5 players in double figures!

Brittany Sykes led scoring with 17 points, 6 rebounds to accompany. Tiffany Hayes came through drippin’ with 13 points and 3 assists. Angel Mccoughtry and Jessica Breland keep twinning with points lately; both ladies had 11 points, combining for 15 rebounds and 3 assists. Monique Billings had 10 points 5 rebounds and 1 assists; most importantly, 2 and-1 plays, how about the rookie?! She even got her first postgame press conference ever after last night’s win over the Mystics.

Billings expressed how she felt she was getting into the groove of the WNBA, “I just have to take it one game at a time and not rush anything.” Very wise advice, Monique, keep going!

Next up, the Atlanta Dream takes on the New York Liberty in Atlanta on Thursday at 7 PM! Run with the Dream and you won’t be disappointed! Let’s go Dream!
