The Atlanta Dream fall to the Washington Mystics

The Atlanta Dream failed to execute a win after falling to the Washington Mystics 70-77 on Sunday July 30, 2017 at McCamish Pavilion.

 

 

The starting lineup was, (G) Layshia Clarendon, (F)Tiffany Hayes, and (C)Elizabeth Williams.

 

 

At halftime, the Washington Mystics lead the Atlanta Dream 44-29. Brittany Sykes and Elizabeth Williams scored a team high of 8 points.

 

History was made ! With 7 assists made in last night game Layshia Clarendon passed  (G)Lindsey Harding guard of the Los Angeles Sparks for the most single assists  in Atlanta Dream’s franchise history.

 

 

After the game Elizabeth Williams and Layshia Clarendon both discussed  the tough loss and Clarendon also spoke about her historical milestone.

 

 

The Dream is headed on the road. They will match-up against the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday, August 3, 8:00 PM at The Xcel Energy Center, Saint Paul, Minnesota.

 

Minnesota Lynx beat the Atlanta Dream

The Minnesota Lynx delivered a  heart wrenching defeat last night against the Atlanta Dream.

 

 

Tiffany Hayes and Brittany Sykes both commented about the tough 90-80 loss.

 

 

Retired WNBA player and friend to the Chicks into Sports Radio Show Chasity Melvin will be at the game tomorrow, Sunday July 30,2017 for her book signing “At, the end of the day.”

The Dream  will matchup against the Washington Mystic at McCarmish Pavilion. Kickoff begins at 3:00 pm est.

Atlanta Falcons LB Duke Riley doesn’t feel like a rookie

Rookie Duke Riley says he’s not feeling like a rookie, and he’s ready to show the team he’s ready!

 

We shall see when  the pre-season games begin in August 10, 2017. The Falcons will match-up with the Miami Dolphins. We can’t wait!

Atlanta Dream defeats the Phoenix Mercury in OT

In an undaunted fashion at the McCarmish Pavillion the Atlanta Dream pulled off a W, in Tuesday night game.

With  seconds left on the buzzer Brittany Sykes tied the score 84-84 and  sent the game in OT.

In OT, the Mercury was no match for the Dream. The Atlanta Dream pulled away with a 99-91 defeat over the Mercury.

 

Diana Taurasi scored a total of 31 points and Brittany Sykes score 20 points.

After the win Layshia Clarendon ,gave her post-game comments.

On Friday, July 28, 7:30 PM at McCamish Pavilion, the Dream will go up against the Minnesota Lynx.

 

 

The West defeated the East in the WNBA Allstar game this weekend🔥🏀

 

The 2017 WNBA Verizon Allstar Game went down Saturday in Seattle Washington at the KeyArena.

Minnesota Lynx’s Maya Moore started the first quarter with an amazing 9 points.

Los Angeles, Sparks  Nnemkadi Ogwumike help the West extend their lead in the First quarter with a powerful 2 point shoot.

Seattle Storm’s Sue Bird helped lead the West to victory 130-121 against the East with her single game record of 11 assists

Maya Moore added 23 points and captured her second Allstar Game MVP award.

The legends were out to show their supports. Hall of Famer Bill Russell was in the building!

Also, Former Atlanta Hawks Coach, Hall of famer and 9x’s NBA Allstar Lenny Wilkens was there showing his support.

Although, the Atlanta Dream’s Layshia Clarendon,  Tiffany Hayes and Elizabeth Williams didn’t defeat the West. They played phenomenal.

Layshia Clarendon capturing 14 points, and 10 assists. Tiffany Hayes seized 12 points, and 5 rebounds. Elizabeth Williams ran away with 8 points and 7 rebounds.

We are still proud of our Atlanta Dream home team and we are still running with the Dream!

The Atlanta Dream will be back in action and will matchup against the Phoenix Mercury tomorrow July 25, 2017, at 7:00 pm est at McCarmish Pavilion.

💪In a epic comeback, the Atlanta Dream defeat San Antonio Stars🔥🏀

Coming off of a 2-game losing streak, the Atlanta Dream had home court advantage in defeating the San Antonio Stars , Tuesday July 18, 2017 at McCarmish Pavilion.

Starting line up was Layshia Clarendon, Tiffany Hayes, Brittany Sykes, Sancho Lyttle, and Elizabeth Williams.

 

 

First quarter was touch and go with the  Stars 17 point lead over the Dream. However that didn’t intimidate Brittany Sykes who scored an amazing game total of 20 points.

 

Tiffany Hayes also, finished the game with a  season high of 25 points and 7 rebounds to lead the Dream to victory over the Stars.

 

Next, the Atlanta Dream will match up against the Washington Mystics  11:30 am Wednesday, July 19,2017 at the Verizon Center, Washington, D.C.
